1.Heifer International –Project Officer- April 2011 to February 2013 Responsibilities •Develops project proposals and implement project activities as per project plan •Conduct baseline surveys to identify suitable beneficiaries and also obtain baseline data •Facilitate the development of value based plans in the communities serviced by the assigned projects •Monitors progress toward project objectives, adjusting plans and activities as necessary to meet environmental challenges with the ultimate goal of realizing the project’s maximum potential. •Maintain project records of project activities including training and resource placement •Collaborate with relevant Government line Ministries and other development agencies. •Develops training manuals •Compiles and submits accurate reports. •Prepares budgets, monitor utilization to avoid over and under expenditure •Performs administrative duties that include accounting for assets and financial advances. •Promotes Heifer’s visibility and profile.
2. Matabeleland South Project Officer, European Union Stabilization of Export Programme, April 2009 to January 2011. Responsibilities Project Appraisal: Receive and desk appraise requests from communities, field appraise projects to assess suitability for funding, assist beneficiaries write proposals
Project Implementation: Organize and conducts meetings with relevant stakeholders to explain implementation procedures, provide advice to beneficiaries regarding sourcing of project inputs and analyses of quotations for the required goods and services initiates procurement.
Project Monitoring: Monitor approved projects against set targets and make recommendations and Evaluation accordingly, making follow ups on issues raised in the monitoring report with relevant stakeholders, assist in facilitating independent ex-post evaluation of funded projects and evaluation and closing of completed projects. Project Expenditure: Receiving invoices from suppliers and verifies against quotations and production of inspection reports to support payment. Training: Conduct training needs assessments at Provincial level, develop and implement training plans and monitor and evaluate. Information dissemination: Informing the local community and other stakeholders on opportunities available under STABEX, attending coordination meetings at Provincial and District level and liaise with other stakeholders, NGOs and Govt. Administration: Attend staff meetings, preparation of Annual work plans, preparation of Quarterly and Annual reports and any other duties assigned by supervisor.
3. District Facilitator –Zimbabwe Developing Communities Programme, March 2006 to March 2009. Zimbabwe Developing Communities Programme (ZDCP) was a partnership programme between European Union, Government of Zimbabwe and Non State Actors Forum (NSA).
