INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Over 13 years of experience in international development in various sectors (predominantly public health), including 9 years based in sub-Saharan Africa and short- or medium- term assignments in 18 countries within Africa and Asia. For nearly 9 years at FHI 360, has held progressively responsible positions focusing on organizational development, program management, monitoring and evaluation, and communications. Prior to joining FHI 360, was charged with overseeing the HIV component of multisectoral programs at USAID/Guinea. Throughout her career, has provided technical assistance to various international development stakeholders in project design, resource mobilization, organizational development, and documentation/reporting.
TEACHING/TRAINING/FACILITATION: Designed and delivered numerous meetings, workshops, and trainings for government bodies, UN agencies, bi-/multi-lateral donors, international non-profits, private sector, community groups, and volunteers on sexual and reproductive health as well as institutional strategic planning, project design, program management, and performance monitoring. Specialized in delivery of trainings for professionals in "Managing for Results" principles and tools, including the Logical Framework Approach. Also has 4 years of formal teaching experience, having developed lessons plans and teaching materials, taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to high school students and adult immigrants. In addition, tutored foreign exchange students in ELF and tutored low-income women and out-of-school youth in GED preparation.
