Professional Experience: |
Since 2010, I have participated in various levels of field research between the United Kingdom and Brazil in the areas of social, economic, and environmental development policy. Much of my research to date has focused on the role of social sustainability as a key element in fostering productive, prosperous communities. Other research focuses include renewable energy, knowledge transfer and innovation. As a student and development professional, I have worked closely with different stakeholders including local and federal government officials, international and national NGOs, civil society and community members on issues of social and economic and environmental policy. Through this work I have learned the importance of effective policy implementation, policy evaluation and the key role of innovation in moving development policy forward. In addition to applied research skills I hold exceptional writing, communication organizational, and creative abilities.
