Area of Expertise:
  • Environment, Climate, Energy, Water, Sanitation
Professional Experience:
Since 2010, I have participated in various levels of field research between the United Kingdom and Brazil in the areas of social, economic, and environmental development policy. Much of my research to date has focused on the role of social sustainability as a key element in fostering productive, prosperous communities. Other research focuses include renewable energy, knowledge transfer and innovation. As a student and development professional, I have worked closely with different stakeholders including local and federal government officials, international and national NGOs, civil society and community members on issues of social and economic and environmental policy. Through this work I have learned the importance of effective policy implementation, policy evaluation and the key role of innovation in moving development policy forward. In addition to applied research skills I hold exceptional writing, communication organizational, and creative abilities.
Education:
MSc in Public Policy from the London School of Economics, focusing on climate economics, natural resource distribution and social policy.

Dissertation (with merit distinction) on the topic of equitable safe drinking water distribution.
Affiliations and Achievements:
Recently I served as a delegate and event co-organizer at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development. I am also involved on a volunteer basis with RainTees, an organization that donates schools supplies to children around the world and features their artwork on apparel and accessories, planting a tree in a critically endangered rainforest with every RainTee sold.
