Professional Experience:

As an economist with extensive field experience in project management including monitoring and evaluation, I believe I have gained substantial knowledge and understanding of humanitarian concepts, social research, as well as various approaches to sustainable development. Additionally, I have lived and worked in different multicultural societies adding an invaluable global dimension to my approach that would enable me to contribute effectively to most international positions.

My competencies vary in a wide range of arena. Academically, my background in Agricultural economics has
equipped me with technical skills and vital tools such as strategic planning and analytical thinking. Over the
years, I have worked in program management providing strategic direction for planning, designing,
implementation and supervision in different multilateral organizations at home and abroad. Some of the
organizations I have worked with include FAO, UNICEF, USAID funded NGOs, and currently with IFAD.

Working with IFAD, has challenged my skills and ability to lead and manage large scale investments including
managing and leading different multidisciplinary teams through delivery of several lending, non-lending designs
and supervisions including analytical works. Collectively, these experiences have sharpened my management
skills. Likewise, I have managed the formulation of the country strategy which required consultation and analysis
with different development partners including managing high level government dialogue. I chaired the Donor
Agriculture Working Group, which entailed spearheading all policy dialogue with senior government officials, and
gave IFAD an added visibility and a platform to create solid mutual partnerships for enhancing the country’s
portfolio and advocating for the rural poor.
As a strong believer of building strategic partnerships, I successfully mobilized resources by expanding IFAD’s
country portfolio from USD 7 million to USD 274 million of sovereign, and USD 1.8 million of non-sovereign
investments, within three years by leveraging partnerships and resources. In the space of time being with IFAD,
I have mobilized co-financing of USD 450 million, surpassing internal co-financing targets.
As a Country Programme Coordinator and IFAD’s feet on the ground, I represent IFAD in all policy and
economic platforms in the country.

Every step of my career has been a continuous learning process where I have been known to be a quick learner
with the ability to multitask, manage, build and maintain healthy professional work relationships to the advantage
of the organization.

Should you need further details of my background and skills besides what’s on my CV, I will be more than happy
to hear from you
