My career experience started in management training, progressing to management roles in broadcast marketing and broadcast management. I have worked in global brand equity management as International Brands Manager with Diageo PLC before joining the United Nations where I worked in roles with responsibilities for the Advocacy remit in two UNFPA Country Programmes. At various times, my duties also included resource mobilization, public-private partnerships and programme management. At UNICEF, I was responsible for Information and Media Management on the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI). I have held several pioneering roles and in each role, I have acquired a mastery of the subject matter, and demonstrated accomplishments above the standard requirements of the position. Working with teams from multifarious backgrounds in planning and intervention of programmes, I have experience working with Country teams Leads from multilateral agencies, Federal and State Executives, government functionaries at all levels, members of the diplomatic corps, local and international consultants, young people, programme managers, project beneficiaries including women groups, commercial sex workers and long-distance truck Drivers among others.
I have more recently been involved in consulting, prior to accepting a political appointment to work with a dynamic team of elected officials at State level in the creation of a knowledge zone. My personal projects include citizen experience activities, community mobilization and somewhat ambitious global peace initiatives.

I have a track-record of top-notch achievements that deliver high returns in investments. For instance, while in broadcast management, I advised the senior management team to renegotiate a media buying contract that changed the Company’s profile in the industry, I also re-engineered the corporate marketing strategy, leading to unprecedented profits in the organizations. At Diageo PLC, I developed a ten-year strategic plan, which was implemented seven years after I left the company by a new management team. In UNFPA, I proposed and gained consensus for a communication strategy that impacted parent-child communications in adolescent reproductive health programming and in UNICEF I designed media monitoring tools that helped to improve media messaging in support of community mobilization efforts.
