Professional Experience: |
I bring eight years of professional international development experience in the arena of health, two years of service with the Peace Corps in francophone Africa, and a graduate degree from the George Washington University, specializing in global health. My areas of technical expertise include maternal and child health, family planning and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, private sector health markets, making markets work for the poor ‘M4P’, supply chain and logistics. I also have substantial client-facing experience with both DFID and USAID. Most recently I have been responsible for management of a combined programme portfolio of £35 million.
I am equally comfortable working independently to achieve project goals, as well as collaboratively as part of a team, and have always been able to establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels. I have extensive on-the-ground experience in Africa in both managerial and technical capacities, and understand the complexities of implementing health programmes in the developing country context.
