Professional Experience:
I am a recent graduate of New York University's Master's in Global Affairs program. In partial fulfillment of the requirements for my M.S., I wrote my master's thesis, "Women AND Girls: Promoting Peacebuilding among Girls in Conflict - A Case Study Analysis of Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda" which looks at the implementation of peace education programs in conflict areas and how humanitarian aid programs can better affect change and inspire girls to become active participants in their societies. This research addresses a broad range of topics from post-conflict reconstruction to child soldiers as well as education in refugee camps and humanitarian interventions.

Prior to starting my graduate work, I served as a Research Assistant to Massachusetts General Hospital's Division of Global Health and Human Rights where she assisted with research for the Division's Initiative to End Slavery, a multi-stage project designed to address the effects of sex trafficking on women and girls that produced 8 social science research case studies examining local public health responses to sex trafficking in the US, UK, Brazil, India and Philippines.

As an undergraduate at Hofstra Univeristy, I completed several demanding internships with Hofsta's Center for Civic Engagement, Vital Voices Global Partnership and Women for Women International (UK Office).

My research interests include the advancement of women's rights, sex trafficking of women and girls, peace education, post-conflict reconstruction and transformation, and education in emergencies.
