Versatile, dynamic and proven international development professional with more than 25 years’ experience leading complex, multi-million-dollar, country programs and projects in positions such as Country Director, Chief of Party and Assistant Country Director in field based positions in Malawi, Bangladesh, Egypt and Georgia. Ms. Cadrin brings experience and expertise in the areas of livelihoods, food security, and civil society strengthening, all projects whose goals have been poverty reduction and improved governance. In these senior positions, she has led the proposal development process for submission to donors such as USAID, DfID, Ford Foundation, and the private sector. Throughout her career, she has been an advocate for women’s empowerment in the economic, social and civil society sectors. Ms. Cadrin has extensive experience planning and managing to achieve objectives guided by an institution’s strategy or overall mission. As Country Director, she has led the strategic planning process including any revisions due to emerging trends which have changed donor priorities, while remaining true to the institution’s and donors’ overall goals. Ms. Cadrin expertly manages both the financial and administrative aspects of a program as well as the technical and programmatic needs. Ms. Cadrin is well respected by her counterparts, donors and within the diplomatic community where she has built solid relationships and visibility for her work. Ms. Cadrin is multi-lingual, culturally sensitive and well-spoken allowing her to integrate quickly in new environments.
