Professional Experience:
With more than 13 years of professional experience, I am an professional in project management, stakeholder management, corporate social responsibility, social compliance and communications. While working as Stakeholder Manager at the headquarters of Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in Switzerland, I regularly represented TAP with regional and local authorities, government agencies, communities, NGOs and other stakeholders in the project host countries (Greece, Albania, Italy), discussed the environmental and social impacts of the proposed pipeline project and coordinated the company’s response to their concerns and queries. In this position I also oversaw stakeholder engagement aspects of different work streams performed by contractors, analyzing their plans and practices and making sure they were in line with industry’s best practice and international - namely EBRD - standards as well as TAP’s own policies and strategies. I regularly delivered trainings and workshops for TAP’s German, Italian, Greek, Belgian and Albanian contractors and sub-contractors in the social compliance, stakeholder consultation and communications issues within ESIA (Environmental and Social Impact Assessment) and LEA (Land and Easement Acquisition) processes. I was responsible for monitoring their performance in these areas and providing “lessons learned” sessions. Being part of Communications and External Affairs team, I closely coordinated my work with the project’s high level external affairs through developing country plans for host government engagement, coordinating information share and providing necessary advice to the country teams. Upon returning to Georgia, I continued working for TAP as a consultant performing almost all the same tasks for the project as before. At BP Georgia I was part of Communications and External Affairs team, managing large Corporate Social Responsibility projects, including Community Investment Program, which had a budget of $8 mln and focused on five different areas of local community development along the BTC/SCP route. I managed several projects directed at the capacity building of Georgian NGOs and media in international audit and other energy related areas. Before joining the private sector, I worked at NDI Georgia first as Civic Program Coordinator and later as Senior Coordinator of Women’s Program working closely with ISFED (International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy) on the organization’s strategic planning and capacity building as well as on training their staff, coordinators and volunteers in election monitoring and project management issues. I was also involved in NDI’s institutional capacity building work with the Parliament as well as in training political parties.
