From Micronesia To Mongolia, Volunteers Tell Their Stories In This Unique Panel Event, Open To The Public.
In Mongolia, Ben Gwilliam trained physiotherapists at a centre for children with disabilities. Amy Iberg helped island communities in Micronesia to prepare for typhoons, landslides and extreme weather events. Dot Laughton helped establish a day care room for refugee children at a immigration detention centre in Thailand.
The three volunteers will share the triumphs, challenges and tough realities of working in development. You’ll also discover current opportunities through the Australian Volunteers for International Development program, an Australian Government AusAID initiative.
This event is co-hosted by Austraining International and Australian Red Cross.
